Our first Fashion Event in 2010 at was a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society held at the Crescent Hotel in uptown Dallas with an audience of over 500.
In 2011, we held the Masquerade Fashion Event and Fundraiser for Can-Kids, a charity fighting global pediatric cancer.
Le Reve Couture was our sold-out event for 2012 at the beautiful Crow Collection of Art Museum, benefiting the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County. In 2013 we held the “Art+Couture” show, benefiting India Education Fund. (Please see video here)
Our unique “Fashion and Spice” event was held in 2015, benefiting Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center. In 2016, we held the Shimmering Lights Gala, benefiting Mosaic Family Services for domestic violence awareness. In 2017, the proceeds from our event funded a scholarship at the University of Texas, Dallas. The 2018 Gala supported Mosaic Family Services again.
In 2019, we partnered with Texas Indo-American Physicians Association (TIPS) for a sold-out event called The Majestic Mosaic at the Four Seasons Resort to benefit the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI). (Please see event video here)
Post-pandemic, our Eleventh Gala in 2023 was called The Arabian Nights, benefiting Chetna, for domestic violence awareness. (Please see event video here)
Aadhar (means Support) is our charity partner for the 2024 Gala, and is dedicated to promoting mental wellness, emotional wellbeing, reducing stigma, and providing accessible resources for individuals and families facing mental health challenges. Their mission is to foster a supportive community where everyone has the access to the available tools and opportunities to achieve optimal mental well-being.
Established in 2024 by Dr. Sejal Mehta, a practicing psychiatrist, Aadhar is a community-based non-profit organization that specializes in mental health wellness awareness and support. They cater to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, recognizing that mental health is a universal concern that transcends age, gender, culture, and socioeconomic status. Their holistic approach combines education, peer support, and therapeutic services tailored to individual needs.
Since their inception, Aadhar has touched the lives of thousands in our community. They conduct regular assessments to measure the impact of their programs, striving to improve and adapt their services based on community needs.
