Our 13th Annual Gala, The Regal Radiance, supporting Aadhar and Akanksha, was held on November 1st, 2025 at the Dallas Palms in Carrollton.

The unforgettable evening celebrated the exquisite artistry of high-end Indian fashion, while supporting two leading non-profits focused on Education in India and Mental Health Awareness locally.

The evening started with a luxurious cocktail reception under the stars, featuring Glenlivet’s New Manhattan drink, delectable appetizers, and an exclusive silent auction featuring unique items and experiences. Over 200 of Dallas’ community and business leaders were in attendance, dressed impeccably.

In addition, Sadie Schiermeyer, the reigning Miss Texas, was in attendance, meeting the attendees and taking pictures.

A high school student, Pragya, did henna on some of the attendees’ hands – doing her part for the charities.

The main program began with an introduction to our Sponsors, as well as the two charities. The fashion show started with the first segment dedicated to ladies who “walked for the cause”. These included executives, business women, and even the mother of the founder of Aadhar!

In the second segment, which was inspired by Indian royal architecture, models walked showcasing the elaborate cuts and embroideries passed down by generations of artisans. We were fortunate to have Mr. Nagaraj, an accomplished flute maestro from India, play along with the music for the models’ walk.

Miss Texas came back to close the show in a gorgeous Charu Parashar dress, and performed one of her songs.

The evening continued with dinner sponsored by Shree Vimal’s and the dance floor was filled till late in the night…

This Gala not only supported two important causes, Akanksha and Aadhar, but also contributed to the ongoing success of Silk Threads in promoting Indian fashion and fostering global understanding.
